Bank Regional Director appointed to new executive post
Victoria McEneaney has been appointed to a strategic role with the RBS International group, a position which has responsibility across all the Bank's offshore jurisdictions of Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey and Gibraltar.
Victoria has been based in the Isle of Man for over four years most recently as Island Director of RBS International, Isle of Man Bank and NatWest offshore.
In her new role as Head of Strategy, Victoria, who has built up 25 years’ experience working for the RBS Group, will help to define the direction of the Bank across the Isle of Man, Jersey, Guernsey and Gibraltar, Victoria will also sit on the Bank’s executive committee.
Victoria started her career with the RBS Group in the Midlands, working her way up through the Bank’s Talent Development Programme. Victoria moved to RBS International in Jersey in 1989, before moving to London and then joined the Isle of Man business in 2006.
Adrian Gill, chief executive of RBS International, commented:
“As Island Director of the Isle of Man business Victoria has successfully navigated the operation through difficult economic times. With her detailed understanding of the Bank and her commitment and expertise, Victoria is an ideal choice to consider the challenges and opportunities for RBS International in the coming years. This appointment is very important in the next stage of development for RBS International, and we will benefit from the continuity of her ongoing involvement with our successful business in the Isle of Man.”
Commenting on her new appointment, Victoria said:
“I am very much looking forward to taking on this new challenge, though the decision to leave the Isle of Man has been one of the hardest I have had to make. It has been a privilege being part of the Isle of Man team during some very testing times for the Island and for the Banking Industry. Two of my proudest professional moments have been achieved whilst I have been here when the Isle of Man Bank Peel branch won the National Customer Service Award and the Corporate Banking team won the Award for Customer Service Excellence at the Isle of Man Newspapers Awards for Excellence in 2009. I am sure I will maintain close links with the many friends I have made over the past four years and am very grateful for the good wishes I have received from so many friends and business colleagues, including members of the Isle of Man Government”
Victoria continues in her current role in the Isle of Man until the New Year.
