AP Personnel is part of AP Group (originally known as Approved Personnel). Our focus is on the financial services sector and the commercial world in Guernsey and Jersey.

The group also includes AP Technical (recruitment for IT, telecommunications and electronics), AP Executive (senior level), AP Legal (the world of law), AP Courses (training) and AP Promote (our in-house design, publishing, marketing and PR division), with offices not just in the Channel Islands but also London, Cyprus, Geneva and Zurich.

Many of the positions AP Personnel recruits for might be thought of as being finance industry related, when in fact they also occur in the wider world of commerce. Accountants and administrative staff, for instance, are needed in every industry.

Having worked in the finance industry in Guernsey, chief executive Gina Le Prevost had seen a gap in the market for a high-quality recruitment firm and started the company in 1990 in an office in the centre of St Peter Port. The business was an instant success.

As the years went by the company branched out into different locations and the specialist divisions were created, acknowledging the fact that a consultant who had worked in a particular area of business was better equipped to help clients and candidates in that area, rather than having generalists attempting to cover everything.
