Stephen Gibson MIRP DipRP - Senior Manager

Having stumbled into recruitment accidentally, Steve has quickly learnt the ropes at AP Group. After nearly five years with the company, he has worked his way up the ladder quickly and is now responsible for overseeing junior- to middle-management recruitment in finance, as well as all levels of non-finance related recruitment for Guernsey and Jersey. Recently, he has also taken on joint responsibility for the day-to-day running of the Guernsey office, while the Chief Exec focuses on expanding the company’s presence in Switzerland. Steve completed the REC Certificate in 2006 and followed this up with success in the Diploma a year later.

Away from work, Steve fancies himself as a bit of a footballer, and occasionally turns out for last year’s Senior County League Division 1 winners, Northerners AC. Steve will claim the team’s success was all down to him, but we know that’s just not true. Later this year he and his wife will be expecting their first child, raising the question of which one will be more childish – Steve or the baby?

Shannon Goode MIRP CertRP - Senior Consultant

After plying his trade in the local funds industry for five years, Shannon finally decided that it was time for a change of career, and in 2007 secured his ideal job in recruitment. This decision proved to be a good one and, after enjoying a hugely successful first year, which included his completion of the REC Certificate, Shannon was promoted to Senior Consultant. He now works closely with Steve to ensure the smooth operation of AP Personnel in Guernsey and Jersey.

When not in the office, Shannon enjoys a busy social life. He can regularly be seen donning his football boots in the social leagues or swinging his tennis racquet in anger. Away from the sporting scene, Shannon is frequently visible at The Terrace as he enjoys another cold one.

Helen Gillam MIRP CertRP - Temporary & Contract Consultant

Helen spent the early years of her career working in travel, and this interest in all things foreign took her to Australia, as well as many other places. It was during her time Down Under that Helen had her first taste of recruitment: working for a boutique agency in Sydney, she specialised in recruitment for temporary workers. When Guernsey called her home, she was the obvious choice to take over as temp and contract consultant, given her previous experience. Having been with the company since September 2007, Helen has mirrored the success of her colleagues by completing the REC Certificate.
