- 28 June 2010

An employee at Deutsche Bank in Guernsey has been awarded a Master of Business Administration degree (MBA) by the University of Warwick.

Head of Business Operations for Deutsche Bank’s Fiduciary Services Division in Guernsey, Jayne Wallbridge, has been awarded the MBA by the renowned university’s business school after a total of four years of studying. Combining her work commitments with studying, Jayne completed the course through distance learning, funded by her employer Deutsche Bank, who also supported her with study leave.

Having joined the Bank as Manager of Client Accounting in 1997 when it was Deutsche Morgan Grenfell, Jayne took on an additional operations role in 1998.    After helping establish Deutsche Bank’s Fiduciary Services teams in Mauritius in 2003 and Singapore in 2006, she became a Business and Project Manager, before returning to Business Operations in early 2009.  Jayne is also FCCA qualified and is now responsible for a team of 15 staff, including 6 based in Mauritius.

The Warwick Business School is widely regarded, according to a number of international newspaper rankings and surveys, as one of the top business schools in the world, and in 1999 became the first business school in the world to hold accreditation from all three global management education bodies, AMBA, EQUIS and AACSB.

Elizabeth Dorsch, Chief Operating Officer for Deutsche Bank’s Fiduciary Services Division, said:

‘We are very proud of Jayne for her significant academic achievement whilst at the same time maintaining such high standards of work and raising a family.  She has put in a significant amount of time and effort over the course of her studies to complete this globally recognised and hugely respected qualification and fully deserves all the praise she receives.  We extend our sincere congratulations to her.’
