We are in search of a Tech Support Engineer to be based in Guernsey, this is a wonderful opportunity to work with our clients Asset Management team by way of engineering design and fault finding while maintaining accurate systems delivering technical consultancy and advice, which will include project management as well.
The Tech Support Engineer will be responsible for undertaking feasibility, conceptual and detail design studies and development of strategies, you will need to be someone who is adept at juggling more than one project at any given time.
Additionally, in this role there will be reporting, budget delivery, quality control, new policy input, presentations and briefings as well as accurate information on datasheet for procuring parts or equipment.
It is desirable for the successful candidate to have the ability to produce technical reports, site appraisals, design calculations and the management of project drawings. As well as understanding fluid dynamics and thermodynamics and would suit someone with a minimum of 4 years' experience in mechanical or process engineering.
Experience in UK and international gas and oil design codes such as IGEM, ASME, API is highly desirable, especially if you have previously worked in gas or chemical plants. Someone who is fully proficient with the Microsoft Package and competent in other technical software such as Auto CAD would be at an advantage.
To be successful in this role you will need to be an excellent communicator, both verbally and in written form and someone who is experienced at liaising with vendors, senior management and design teams.
