Due to continued growth a new vacancy for a fund accountant has arisen within the Jersey office of a global funds company. The key responsibilities of the role are to prepare bookkeeping for client entities. Ensuring effective cash management of client entity portfolios. Performing reconciliations of key balances on a periodic basis and delivery of periodic reports to clients and regulators.
Preparation of financial statements for client entity portfolios in IFRS or UK GAAP. Planning of annual audits and liaising with auditors. Involvement in the setup and investment procedure for new funds. Assisting with reporting to investors and answering investor queries. Interaction with boards of fund entities.

Suitable candidates will have knowledge of the alternative asset fund administration industry in Jersey and also the ability to manage small teams. A high degree of accuracy is required from the individual as, in order to meet tight deadlines, a "right first time" approach is required.

The successful candidate will be expected to be ACA / ACCA qualified or equivalent. Have experience of alternative asset fund administration (private equity or real estate) and an understanding of IFRS, UK GAAP, consolidations and multi-currency environments. Advanced Excel skills are required together with an advanced level of IT literacy.
