Our client, a leading Aviation business has an opportunity for Ground Staff in the area of Ramp and De-Icing agents in their Guernsey operation.
The successful candidate for Ramp agent will be responsible for pre-aircraft checks, loading and off-loading bags from the aircraft, push backs of aircraft and pre-departure checks. And for the de-icing agent responsibilities will be similar but also include de-icing of the aircraft in the winter months.
Key responsibilities will include ensuring operational safety, participation in pre-flight briefings, ensure record keeping and safety checks are carried out in accordance with regulations. Additionally, there will be many procedures to adhere to, many involving health and safety as well as emergency reporting as required.
The successful applicant will be required to be well organised, with excellent attention to detail as well as be able to work on own initiative and be able to make prompt decisions to deal with any challenges arising. It is desirable for applicants to have strong interpersonal and written communication skills as well as a decent ability in maths. You will be required to hold a clean Channel Islands driving licence and have a flexible approach to working hours.
