A large and ambitious global logistic trading company has a vacancy for a senior financial accountant. The post holder will play a critical role in managing and reporting the financial performance of the company. This role involves overseeing the general accounting operations by controlling and verifying financial transactions, managing the team, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards and regulations, and providing strategic financial insights to support decision-making. The successful candidate will have a minimum 10 years’ work experience as a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA); strong experience with financial reporting, general ledger functions, and the month-end/year-end close process. Other requirements include an in-depth knowledge of IFRS/GAAP and financial regulations, proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. The right soft skills are also critical, so we are particularly interested in candidates with strong leadership and team management skills, high level of integrity and professionalism and strong organizational and time management skills.
