Our client, a leading company in fund services in Jersey is looking for a senior fund accountant.
The purpose of this role is to carry out routine day-to-day accounting of complex private equity fund clients under the direction of a financial reporting manager. You will be responsible for a complex portfolio of private equity structures, with companies and associated fund structures and will work as part of a team to ensure a seamless service for the clients whilst acting as the main point of contact for clients. You will be the link between management and the more junior members of the team, reviewing the work prior to be submitted to the directors and ensure that the junior members of the team receive technical coaching from you.
You will prepare client structure management accounts and financial statements under UK GAAP or IFRS and liaise with the tax advisors regarding ongoing tax compliance responsibilities.
Our client is looking for a fully or part qualified accountant undertaking ACCA or ACA with a minimum of 3 years relevant experience in all aspects of funds and you will be ambitious and have a high level of commitment.
Be quick to learn new systems and, as they value close working relationships with colleagues, clients and business contacts, great people skills are required.
