Our client is seeking to appoint a Procurement Manager on either a permanent or contract basis.
As a member of the Procurement Team, the post holder will play a key role in leading and supporting procurement activity. The individual will be responsible for leading procurement and commercial activity either associated with an individual Committee(s).
The post holder will work closely with stakeholders to help build strategies for a range of different procurement projects or spend areas and will support the delivery stakeholder requirements delivered through tendering and contracting processes.
The post holder will be responsible for implementing their strategies through effective procurement execution, ensuring value for money is achieved, establishing structures which enable the contracts and suppliers to be managed effectively and enabling systems to be utilised appropriately to aid the delivery of efficiencies and savings.
Our client is seeking a candidate with experience and/or knowledge of operating in a commercial environment dealing with contracts and orders etc., experience and/or knowledge of operating in an Health and Social Care environment, some experience and/or knowledge of procurement and contracts, some experience of working with suppliers, including managing their performance and dealing with supplier/customer queries. You will need to be a strong communicator, able to communicate with external and internal stakeholders, be self-motivated, able to work autonomously and prioritise your own workload.
