Our client is currently looking for a driven and detail-oriented Buyer to be responsible for selecting and purchasing quality beauty and fragrance products for their business.
Reporting to the Director, you will own a portfolio of key suppliers and will be responsible for the supplier relationship management and negotiations.
Your responsibilities will include negotiating with suppliers on terms including cost price and payment terms. Working alongside the brand team, you will also be responsible for negotiating marketing investment that drives their co-marketing plan with the brands.
You will be responsible for processing purchase orders, tracking orders, creating and maintaining an inventory, quality assurance and liaising with their logistics team. Experience working with large global beauty brands is not essential but is advantageous. Occasional travel maybe required.
You will be a natural deal maker and have strong negotiation skills, have the ability to analyse market and product trends to ensure insightful buying decisions are being made, have strong commercial acumen and analytical skills, be highly collaborative and a confident communicator able to develop excellent stakeholder relationships, have 3+ years working at buyer level, have experience of working in a fast-paced environment likely in a retail or wholesale business, and be highly proficient in Excel.
